I don’t know about you, but the fastest I ever bought a newly released expansion pack was after seeing the trailer for Sims 4 Growing Together. EA released this last week and, as promised, EA’s thirteenth expansion pack for The Sims 4 franchise offers exciting new gameplay features including a whole new life stage: infants!
With all the new family storytelling elements this expansion pack provides, it inspired me to compile a list of my favorite, pregnancy, baby, and family mods & CC that will further add on to your growing together gameplay experience!
1. Realistic Childbirth Mod by PandaSama
Adding a new sim to the family made a lot more realistic! Adds new animations for pregnancy including taking a test, announcing pregnancy, birth partner cuddles, and going for an ultrasound. Get labor/birth options and animations to go with that overrides the silly surgery machine. Your sim can give birth at home with a midwife in bed or in a little pool for a water birth. Or go to the hospital for a natural or C-section birth and epidurals. The mod also introduces stretch marks and a lactation system for after the new baby is born.
2. Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul Collection by Lumpinou
This is a collection of mods that add realism and drama to the family aspects of gameplay. I personally play with:

- Mod 6 – Temporary Separations

- Mod 10: Custody & Permanent Separations

3. More Traits in CAS by thepancake1 & MizoreYukii
Add more personality to your Sims family! This mod gives you more slots to add traits for your sims. Adults have 5 slots, teens have 4, children have 3, and toddlers have 2.

This is related to the traits mods above but deserves its own callout because of how perfectly it fits with Growing Together. The Inborn personality mod makes it possible for offspring to inherit traits from their parents as reward traits. Make sure to download the other required mods!
